What is Anxiety?

Anxiety can be defined as a feeling of unease, fear or worry which can range from mild to severe. It arises when in your mind you perceive something that you are faced with as a threat in some way, which sets off the fear responses in your brain (fight, flight or freeze) although the threat that your mind perceives might not always be obvious to you at the time, or it may seem irrational, or you may be fearing undesirable happenings that you want to avoid.
