Online Therapy for Anxiety: Empowering, Rapid, lasting Relief
Are you struggling with anxiety, whether it’s generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, social anxiety, OCD, or other kinds of anxious thoughts and feelings in your daily life? Or perhaps you feel anxious about a specific upcoming event, such as an exam or a presentation?
If you are looking for help for anxiety, you may be wondering how online therapy for anxiety works and whether it’s as effective as in person therapy for anxiety.
Anxiety responds incredibly well to the right combination of therapeutic tools, especially when those tools help with both your mind and body. The tools and techniques that I use work just as well for online therapy as they do for in person therapy sessions.
You may have tried coping strategies, self-help techniques, and/or traditional therapies, yet still feel stuck in the same anxious patterns and are looking for specialist anxiety therapy that allows you to have effective and lasting relief.
As a Clinical hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, Advanced EFT Practitioner, and anxiety specialist. I help you gently and safely resolve the underlying issues that drive your anxiety, change your anxious responses, calm your nervous system and to become more empowered in your life.
If you are looking for online therapy for anxiety that can help you to have rapid, effective, and lasting relief from anxiety, then I hope you find this blog helpful.
Specialist Online Therapy for Anxiety
I specialise in helping people to overcome a wide range of anxiety issues and anxiety disorders. I offer online therapy for anxiety as well as in person therapy for anxiety in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Having suffered severe anxiety and OCD myself many years ago, which I overcame on my own using only natural techniques, I love to help clients to overcome anxiety issues too.
I use a holistic, integrative approach that goes beyond just managing symptoms. Whether you're struggling with generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety, panic attacks, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), health anxiety, or anything else, online therapy for anxiety gives you a flexible, comfortable way to overcome anxiety.
The therapies and techniques that I use help you to gain rapid and long-term relief, usually within fewer sessions than with traditional therapy techniques.
Is Online Therapy for Anxiety Effective?
Yes, research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in person therapy for most mental and emotional health issues, including for anxiety.
For example, this article on the Kings College London website explains: How digital therapy reduces anxiety and depression in people living with long-term physical health conditions
And this article on the Hypnotherapy Directory about Online Hypnotherapy explains how it can work just as well as face to face hypnotherapy, including for anxiety.
Why Choose Online Therapy for Anxiety?
Online therapy for anxiety is equally effective as in-person sessions, and often preferred by clients because of the following benefits:
- Comfort of your own home – some people feel more relaxed and at ease in their own home, and therefore more able to fully engage in therapy for anxiety
- Accessibility – Helpful if you find it difficult to leave your house, or travel for whatever reason, whether it’s because of anxiety, such as with agoraphobia or panic attacks, or finding childcare, limited mobility, or being in a rural location
- No travel time or cost – Saves time, money and energy, making it easier to commit to regular sessions
- Flexible of scheduling – Making therapy easier to fit around work, family and life.
- Access to effective approaches that work for you – You have access to a wider choice of different types of therapy and therapists wherever you live in the UK (or beyond).

How My Online Therapy Sessions For Anxiety Work
Your online therapy sessions will be very like if you have face to face sessions with me. I offer a free initial telephone consultation where we discuss the anxiety issues you are having, how you would like to be different, and how I can help you, then you can decide if you want to go ahead with booking a first session.
I will ask you to complete an intake form/questionnaire before your first session so that I can understand much more about your issues and how you want to be instead.
In your first session we clarify your issues more deeply, so that I can tailor the process even more specifically for you. Then with each subsequent session I begin with finding out how you have been feeling and responding differently in situations, what you would still like to change, and how I can best continue to help you to resolve the specific anxiety issues you have been having.
All sessions are tailored to you and your particular issues, your history, your patterns, your triggers, and your goals. I work with what is happening with you both consciously and subconsciously.

In my online therapy sessions, I use the same therapies and techniques that I use for in person sessions. For your online therapy for anxiety sessions I may use a blend of:
- Calming techniques to calm your mind and nervous system
- Online hypnotherapy
- Online NLP and Time Line Therapy™ (a powerful set of NLP techniques)
- Online EFT Tapping
I also provide you with tools and techniques that you can use in between sessions and at any time in the future to help yourself feel calm and in control.
Online hypnotherapy, online NLP, and online EFT work beautifully through video sessions. These therapies help to calm your nervous system, resolve the underlying issues, reprogram anxious patterns, and release the emotional triggers that feed anxiety.
How to Prepare for Your Online therapy for anxiety Session
Here are some tips to help you get the most from your online therapy for anxiety sessions:

- Use a computer, laptop or tablet with good sound and a camera
- Have the device stabilised on a flat surface rather than holding it
